Hi there! I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!! Ours was great, we packed up and headed out to visit with the grandkids. I didn't check the calendar before I left. Saturady I realized Kate from I {heart} Papers and the DT had made the announcement that I was joining the team!!
I can't tell you how thrilled I am to design for I {heart} Papers!! I feel like a fool not posting anything on my blog or posting the blog candy Kate graciously donated. We arrived home late last night. I do have a fun card to share with you today using some fun new paper and ribbon from I {heart} Papers.
Here's the inside
This cute paper is by My Mind's Eye called Irresistible Sweet Blossoms. The stamps are Impression Obsession called Sweet Hearts. I used two sets of Nesties also from the store. This yummy ribbon can be found here. The ribbon is in the blog candy so make sure you enter to win!!
Now for some Sweet Treats here is what you can win!!
All you have to do is tell me what your plans are for New Year's Eve. We stay home every year. We make ALL of our favorite snacks and just hang out. Sometimes we have friends over but most years we spend it as a family. Can you believe our 24 year old still hangs out with us on New Year's Eve? How totally cool is that?
I'm so sorry this post is so late! Please stop by the I {heart} Papers DT they are awesome!!

Pretty card...Congrats on making the team!! Normally on new years I like to stay home with friends & family. I like to make lots of little hordeuvers & party foods. However, this year I am venturing out & will be joining some friends at am upscale bowling alley in NY city where they have an open bar, dj, champagne midnight toast & we have a private lane to bowl. Something different, should be fun. Hope you have a Happy New Year!

I love that set -- have it too. It goes so nicely with that paper!
Welcome to the design team!

Congratulations on your design team post. Love this card and the papers.
As far as New Years goes, well, we usually do a movie and dinner, because the 31st is also my daughters birthday. She will turn 18 this year. Then we come home, make some snacks, watch another movie on tv or play games, then finish off with Rockin New Years EVe. It is a great way to end the year, just the four of us as a family.
thanks for sharing

Congratulations, Dee for making the teams! You are totally awesome and I know they will be happy to have you. Our church is joining another church for Watch-Night-service, so we'll start out the New Year with lots of praying and church service.
By the way, that card came out beautiful, gotta love pink and brown :D

beautiful! I'm too old to stay up late. I'll be in bed not much caring about the midnight hour, but our church has an early evening service if we don't get snowed out.

Congrats on your design team selection. I love the card you made, outside and inside! We plan on staying home for New Year's eve. I just got back from Christmas with the kids and the roads were NOT good!!

CONGRATUALTIONS!!!! What an honor to be chosen as a Design Team member! Good for you!
Re: New Year's Eve plans
My DH and I will go to his sister's where we will be joined by her children, my nephew and his wife who are on leave from Ft.Bragg, and a family friend. We will have snacks, play games and pretty much just hang out. None of us are drinkers (just a champagne toast at midnight) but I think DH and I will spend the night to avoid the driving of those who have had a bit too much to drink.
Happy New Year to you.

I want to greet the New Year as I wish to live it. I can't be with my son as he lives in California and I am in Maryland. I can share with friends so we are going out for a quiet dinner and then home to a quiet evening. I am hoping very much that this will set the stage for a better 2009, filled with friends and quiet time. I saw the "ghost" hearts and have seen these used on cards and wondered what they were and who made them! Now I know. See, I am already learning something new. The card is, as always with your cards, wonderful. I wish you a blessed and quiet New Year's Eve shared with those most important to you and filled with, of course, laughter! Laughter and good memories are the MOST important commodity we have.

Congratulations for being part of the design team. On New Year's Eve, we stay home just the two of us. Sometimes we have friends over here but not often.

Congratulations! Ah that ribbon is gorgeous! Wow, more on the site too that are fantastic and so different - ummm what do I just have to have!?!?!? Anyway, New Years Eve - I will have to work prob until 3-4 and then plan on coming home and collapsing! I am not one for celebrating much I guess. We will probably have a pizza - maybe even just a frozen one - how exciting is that? We will probably watch some reruns on TV or read. Then, most likely in bed before midnight! Oh wait, is the Outback Bowl game the 31st or 1st - that may make the difference in what we watch! Go Iowa Hawkeyes!

Great news Dee. Congrats and I am sure they will love having you on the team. Your card is great and the ribbon is wonderful. We usually spend the night with our boys but this year they are all doing something so a couple of friends are coming over to be in the hot tub as we enter the new year.
Happy New Year

Congratulations, what a thrill and honor on making the design team. New Years Eve plans: My sister is coming in and she, my husband and I are going to a home party. This is the first year we have gone out in ages and, I mean ages. I would be thrilled to win this awesome blog candy. Thanks for sharing.

Congrats on making the team!
New Year's eve will be relatively quiet here. My step-daughter and her hubby and their 2yr old twins (boy and girl) and my step-son are here from California. We're having "dip night" for dinner - 5 different kinds of dip and various "dipables" (I made that word up, can you tell?) We'll probably play some games and kick back.
Happy New Year to you and yours!
