Here's my card for today.

I used the 3-Step Hearts and Roses set. The sentiment is from the 3 Step Honey Bunny set.For the rose I used Rose Red, Hiding Hood Red, Mellow Moss and Artichoke. As always the Crew have some awesome samples for you today:)

SSNOTIME Let's Pipe Up!

Hi there! Sharon has a fun challenge for us today. Here's her challenge.

Let’s Pipe Up! Piping is a sewing term and I can’t think of a comparable stamping term to explain what I mean. Since my sewing background goes much farther back than my stamping background, I often view, in my mind’s eye, my paper as fabric and my embellishments as other sewn features. In sewing, piping is a piece of covered cording used to visually separate (but actually join) two patterns or two pieces of fabric. Think of a darling little girls dress with piping separating the bodice from the gathered skirt, or a much heavier type of piping on upholstered furniture. What I’m looking for today is that narrow strip of paper to separate 2 other pieces of paper. It is a long time favorite of mine in card making and I hope you enjoy it too!!! And if you’ll scroll down to see my sample, I’ll show you how I easily do this! I hope you all have fun *piping it up* today!!!

Timeless Tuesday!

Hi there! It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge (FTTC12). Kimberly Crawford is our challenge hostess this week. She clearly has a challenge that will make you see things in a whole new way. She is challenging us to use acetate or clear cardstock. You can use clear acetate in many ways. Whether it is for the card base, a frame, windows, embellishments, or some unique way you have to showcase acetate, we cannot wait to see what you create.

I used the I Love Rose set. The sentiment is from the Siberian Iris set both from Flourishes. I used the Clear Cardstock they carry in the store. I colored the roses with PrismaColor Pencils and baby oil.

Tips: I used glue dots in the four corners and adhered the BG paper to the inside front cover. I covered the glue dots by placing a dew drop over the glue dot on the front of the card. HTH.

i{heart}papers DT Challenge

Good Morning I have two posts for you today. The i{heart}papers DT has a challenge this week. We are Going Askew. I used the CPS sketch 112 for the layout. This is a sweet and very simple birthday card. I used this stamp set. The paper is by Memory Box called Sugar Drop. Make sure you check out all the DT cards. Happy KSS Monday!! Recipe Cards

Hi there! It's KSS day and another Crew Challenge. This week Maria is our hostess and her challenge is to Alter/stamp a rolodex or recipe index card. This was a tough one. I decided to make two recipe cards.I was feeling a bit SASSY yesterday and made the recipe's for your viewing pleasure *wink* Make sure you head over to the KSS Blog to see how you can play along. This card is for a Apple Cake. The rest of the recipe is written on back. I used Plaid Plus and 3 Step School Days. Apple Cake

Ingredients

• 1 box yellow cake mix for a single layer cake, prepared to package directions 2 tablespoons softened butter 2 Gala apples, diced
• 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
• 1/4 cup sugar

Directions Preheat oven to directions on box. Mix cake mix to directions on box, using 1/2 cup water and 1 egg. Grease a 9 by 9-inch square cake pan or disposable cake pan with butter. Pour in cake batter. Toss apples with cinnamon and sugar and sprinkle on top of cake batter. Bake 20 to 25 minutes.

It looks like I missed two steps on one of the leaves but in reality I left it like that so you can read the words on the vellum in the next picture. For this recipe card I used 3 Step Aloha stamp set for this yummy drink! I wrote the recipe on the vellum using a Copic Multiliner SP 0.2 black pen. It dried really fast!

Pink Lemonade Spritzer

• 1/2 cup citron vodka
• 4 tablespoons pink lemonade mix
• 1 1/2 cups pineapple juice
• 1 (12-ounce) can lemon-lime flavored carbonated beverage

In a large pitcher, combine vodka and lemonade mix, stirring well. Add pineapple juice, stirring well. Add lemon and lime beverage, stirring well.

SSNOTIME Thread It Thur!!

Hi there! This week Sharon's Stamp Simply challenge is to Thread it Thur. You can read all the details here. The stamps I used today are from Flourishes called Swing Set. I colored the image and button using Copics. I used linen thread thru the button and around the ribbon. The designer paper is Euphoria from Basic Grey. Hi there! Today has been a fun day so far. I LOVE it when things turn out exactly how I thought they would! It started with this beautiful paper from i{heart}papers. Next came the stamps I wanted to use this gorgeous Tulip from Kitchen Sink Stamps. Last the layout, I haven't played in a CPS challenge in sometime so I went there to check out this weeks sketch. WOOHOO!! This is the card inspired by beautiful paper, gorgeous stamps and awesome inspiration for the CPS team. Ink used for the tulip Step one: Regal Rose, stamped off Step two: Regal Rose Step three: Rose Red, stamped off Step four: Rose Red Leaves Step one: Celery Step two: Olive Step three: Artichoke Have a great day!!

Timeless Tuesday Paper Piercing!!

Hi there! It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge(FTTC11)! Becca Feeken is our challenge hostess this week. She is challenging us to paper piercing. Paper piercing is the art of piercing holes through the cardstock for decoration. Paper piercing has evolved so much in the past couple of years with the invention of some highly detailed piercing templates. There are all kinds of piercing ideas to use. Whether it is just a pierced frame or border, some pierced corner accents, a few pierced dots here and there, or you go out out with ornate piercing template patterns, we would love to see what you create.You can find all the details on the Flourishes Newsletter. I used this beautiful new Sweet Violets set from Flourishes today. I love this set!! I colored it with PrismaColor Pencils and baby oil. I used my matpack to do all the piercing on the hunter green card stock and for the tag. I really like how the white layer shows through the hunter paper where I pierced the holes.
