It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge(FTTC86)! It is the end of the month so we have a challenge host! This month's host is Debbie Marcinkiewicz! Debbie is challenging us create a card, project or gift set with a fall/harvest theme using green, brown, orange/russet, and cream! We would love to see what you create!
Thanks so much Debbie! What a great challenge. I hope my color choice is correct. I just got this awesome Sunflower set and had to use it! I colored this with Copics and Prismacolor pencils. I used the Classic Ivory cardstock.
Check out our challenge hostess Debbie. The FOF team have eye candy as well:)
Hi there! What a great week I've had. We spent time with the grandkids and family. The girls are getting SO big. Enough about that...
It's time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge (FTTC85) This week I'm your challenge host. My challenge is to create a Celebration card. Celebrate anyway you like. You can do baby, friendship, holiday, anything goes. We would love to see what you come up with!
I was so excited to see my name listed as a new designer for Heartfelt Creations this morning!! Their stamps are gorgeous!! On the HFC blog they've posted all 19 new designers as well as some samples of the Cardinal Family set released today. Here are some of the samples I made using the Cardinal With Berries set. The stationary box instructions can be found on SCS.
1. Form card base using ivory cardstock. The base is 5.5" x 5.5" square. 2. Cut one 5" square from red card stock 3. Stamp the red square using Versamark ink with the Petite Medallion Background set. Adhere to base. 4. Cut one piece of Deck The Halls designer paper 5" x 2". Adhere to the center of the red card stock. 5. Stamp and color the large cardinal and sentiment onto ivory cardstock that is cut 4-5/8" x 4-1/8". 6. Stamp and color another large cardinal on ivory cardstock. Cut it out using the Cardinal die. 7. Using pop dots adhere the cut image onto the sentiment image. 8. Glue three silver Dew Drops as shown.
4" x 4" Square Celebrate Card Set
1. Form card base using ivory cardstock. Base is 4" x 4" square. 2. Stamp sentiment close to the bottom of base. (see photo) 3. Cut one piece of Deck The Halls paper to 7/8" x 4". Adhere to base. 4. Stamp and color one of the birds from the Cardinal Pine Cone Border set. 5. Cut the stamp image using the Lables 2 die. 6. Smear distress ink over image. Adhere to card

Hi there! Things have gotten better now that my 95 year old grandmother is out of ICU and home!! We are getting ready for our oldest daughter to deploy soon. Never a dull moment here. I did have fun with today's (FTTC84). This week Barbara Anders is hosting. Barbara is challenging us to the spotlight technique. Here is a link to a spotlight(http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/spotlighting_technique/) tutorial from SCS. This is a fun technique that often gets overlooked. Give it a try! We would love to see what you create!
Thanks Barbara this was fun! Here's my take on spot lighting.
Hi there! Sorry I missed you last week! I must say last week was a mess and if I shared it ALL you would not believe it. Yep it was that bad. I will say that on Friday I had to cancel a lunch date due to the air and hot water heater both going out! With the long weekend ahead I was freakin' out NO AIR IN GA??? NO WAY!!
I must say it all ended on a great note, the air was fixed and a new hot water heater was installed. Dh and I celebrated another Anniversary with shopping, dinner and drinks:) So all is good in my world for now.
Last week we had a challenge host Traci Major. Traci is challenging us to Summer Memories! With summer quickly drawing to a close, Traci wants us to reflect on one of our summer activities and create a card capturing one of our favorite memories of Summer 2010!
For my card I reflected on CHA! Meeting some of the Flourishes team for the first time! What a awesome time that was!! I also LOVED seeing friends that I had met in real life in the past! I added today's Timeless Tuesday challenge to last weeks card with a homemade ticket. Betty is this weeks challenge host (FTTC83)! Betty is challenging us to use tickets on our cards. Now, you can use actual store bought tickets or create your own, or come up with ways to create a ticket look with your focal image, card base, or sentiment. We would love to see what you create!
So here's my take on both FTTC challenges.
I used the Chairs For You set colored with Copics. The sentiment is from the Tag Lines set. The brads are stickers also found in the Flourishes store. They are cool because you get the look without the bulk!! The designer paper is SO gorgeoues in real life. The lager piece is flocked. I bought it at Hobby Lobby made by GCD Studios. My ticket was made using a circle punch and perforation blade.
