Think Out OF THE BOX ssnotime32

Hi there! Sharon picked a fun challenge for us today. THINKING OUT OF THE BOX  - using a stamp for a purpose OTHER than what it was intended. So I used the Heart from the Lace Heart set made by Flourishes to make the scallop edge and the background. Sharon has a super talented group of ladies with awesome samples to share so make sure you check them out !!!

Black Accents SSNOTIME31

Sharon has a fun challenge this week. Use black accents to make your card pop. You can read all about it on Sharon's blog. I decided to use my new Cosmo Cricket paper and the bird from Birds Galore which I stamped onto the dp with Black Stazon ink. The sentiment is a rub-on. This card was super easy and I think it has some pop! ETA: A second card for the challenge using the Iris from Flourishes LLC.

New FLLC Stamps & Guest Designer!!

Wow what a week! Another Release this time from Flourishes LLC, Not only new stamps, but a New Guest Designer. Welcome Sharon H ! There's a  new contest and so much more!! Here's my new set samples:)

Although I haven't had a reason to make a wedding gift for years! I think this would make a wonderful gif!

How about a favor? I thought a matchbook would be lovely. So I made them using a small post it cube. I used the left over cube as favor as well. I tied a knot and cut the rings.

Flourishes #1 Dad & Sharon's Paper Piecing Challenge

When I saw this set my first thought was...Ice cold beer. The "Happy Father's Day" stamp took me to another place. Yummy chocolate root beer floats! As a child and a adult root beer floats are a family favorite! I decided to do  Sharon's challenge for the mug, instead of beer I made a chocolate root beer float ( Father ). This isn't as yummy as the real thing but it sure brings back fond memories! If you look closely you will see this card is not perfect. Each detail is a bit off...according to the stamping standards:) But my how I remember making things for mom and dad at school!!! I poured my heart and soul into those things and they loved them uneven, not attached, written crooked, it was all about the love!!

I collect elephants and my youngest daughter during art class in Jr. High made me several elephants with clay. She is 23 now and is totally annoyed those elephants are displayed proudly with all the others in the curio cabinet and entertainment center.

I stamped the mug on dp and cut it out. I stamped my #1 dad stamp on the cut out mug. The foam was stamped on close to cocoa paper and cut out. All stamps are Flourishes LLC. I used All in a row stamp set SU! for the piercing and a matpack.

This card is truly made from the heart! TFL:)

WT157 Easter Blessings

I made this card for the WT157 challenge. The challenge is to use only designer or patterned paper in your design. I cover my white card base with the BG Two Scoops paper. I stamped the image and words on the soild paper from the pack using Black Stazon. I colored the image using chalk and a q-tip. This set is from Flourishes called Easter Blessings. I also got the Two Scoops paper there. I hope you have a great day!

FLLC Easter Bunnies

Hi there! I'm so happy you're looking around and checking out my new blog. Thank you for the comments and emails! I've had my new Flourishes stamps for a few days now. I think this little bunny and chick are adorable my grand kids are going to be so happy to get these in the mail. I colored the image using my watercolor crayons with the aqua painter. For the egg I used my cameo marker. The sky was created using chalk and a cottonball. The designer paper is Basic Grey Two Scoops. Stamps are the new Easter Bunnies set from Flourishes.  You can find the stamps and  BG paper at  Flourishes LLC

New Blog On Typepad &Recent Post from Blogger

Good Morning! I'm so happy to be on typepad. It has taken a lot of work to get moved over here but I think I'm just about ready for you to see my new home. Currently my banner hasn't been moved. That is way out of my blogging ablity! So I will have to get some help with that. I decided to post a few recent cards on this blog since it looks so naked. I will have some new Easter cards for you later today.
