Good Morning! I'm thrilled to share with you one of my favorite finds at CHA Chicago this summer. When I returned home I called Maria owner of Kitchen Sink Stamps. I couldn't wait to tell her all the cool new products I saw and this item I really wanted her to carry in the store! Well Maria ordered them and asked me to do the Project of the Month!!! WOOHOO!!
This is the first one I made. I used the new 3-Step Pansy set. The butterfly is from the 3-step Hydrangea set.
Danube Blue, Bahama Blue (Memento) Sea Breeze (VersaMagic) Pearl Sky Blue (Brilliance), Mellow Moss, Artichoke, Summer Sun, Mustard, Black
For this beauty I used designer paper from Graphic 45 and the butterfly from the 3-Step Butterfly set from Kitchen Sink Stamps. The inks are available from Kitchen Sink Stamps as well
Inks: Desert Sand, Tangelo (Memento) Onyx Black (Versafine)
This one was stamped on Kraft paper. So would you like to see how I made them?
These are some of the basic supplies. You will also need stamps of your choice, something level to lay the pendant on while it dries. I used a wooden stamp.
Next trace your pendant. You will need three pieces of cardstock all cut perfectly for the pendant.
Stamp desired images, stack your 3 pieces of cardstock with the stamped image on top. Dry fit to make sure everything is where you want it. Now place a dab of glue at the bottom of the pendant and a dab between your layers. Place all 3 pieces in the pendant.
Now take your Diamond Glaze and remove the lid slow & steady pour into the pendant. You may need to use a toothpick to pop any bubbles. I didn't have any bubbles it's best to be prepared just in case:) Here's how it will look. See it's cloudy, but it dries clear!
Place the pendant on a level surface. I used wooden stamps and acrylic blocks to hold mine. Now cover to prevent dust or anything falling on the pendant while it dries
The drying time was all over the place anywhere between 12-36 hours. You will know it's dry when it is crystal clear.
I hope you like this project. I'd love to see your pendants so leave me a link so I can check them out:)
Thanks for stopping by!
Wanna see what it is
I have friends and neighbors already ordering these from me. You can find the pendants and bracelets in the KSS store here What awesome gifts for Christmas these are going to make!
This is gorgeous!! And what a nifty idea about covering it with a container while it dries! I'll have to remember that!
