I'm Back With Some News & Blog Candy!

Hi there! I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!! Ours was great, we packed up and headed out to visit with the grandkids. I didn't check the calendar before I left. Saturady I realized Kate from I {heart} Papers and the DT had made the announcement that I was joining the team!! I can't tell you how thrilled I am to design for I {heart} Papers!! I feel like a fool not posting anything on my blog or posting the blog candy Kate graciously donated. We arrived home late last night. I do have a fun card to share with you today using some fun new paper and ribbon from I {heart} Papers. Here's the inside This cute paper is by My Mind's Eye called Irresistible Sweet Blossoms. The stamps are Impression Obsession called Sweet Hearts. I used two sets of Nesties also from the store. This yummy ribbon can be found here. Happy KSS Day!! & Our Tree

Good Morning!! I had decided not to put up a Christmas tree this year. Our tree is HUGE and it is so much work. The grandkids aren't coming to our house this year so it was easy just to not do it. My husband and I went to lunch and shopping yesterday. I saw the most GORGEOUS chocolate and peach colored ornaments! I had to have them!! So yes I bought a small 4Ft tree and the gorgeous ribbon and ornaments isn't it so yummy?? The tree is on a round table. Today the Kss Crew Challenge is to make a card Ringing In The New Year! For my card I used the 3 step Bells to make the hour glass. We were playing a game last week and I thought I bet I could use the bells on my New Year's card. Well it didn't turn out as exciting as my thoughts were but it's fun:) I only used step 1 and 5. The numbers are from 1/2 Pint Playful Alphabet Buddy. Sentiment is from Never a Loss 4 Words. Good Morning! I hope you all know by now that Monday is Kitchen Sink Day all over the world! Every Monday you can get your KSS fix by checkin' out the Fabulous Kitchen Crew Blogs. This week we are all flying solo. We can use whatever KSS stamps we want. I'm sick of making Christmas items at this point:) but I didn't think you were ready for me to jump in to Valentine's Day so I just made a little gable box to share. Hope you like it! All stamps are KSS. I used 3 Step Adornments, 3 Step Butterflies, Limited Edition 1st Anniversary Set - A Year of Thanks + 3 Step Humming Bird. I used Going Gray (SU!) and London Fog (Memento), and Basic Black inks. The designer paper used to cover the box is from a paper pack called Mixed Media. See what the KSS Crew has for you today! Festive Flourishes, SSNOTIME & Blogger Challenge!

I have a lot to share tonight. First up I have the my Festive Flourishes card. The Flourishes Blog team has Festive Flourishes challenges this month. This week we are making cards that are mostly white. I used white ink on the vellum and stamped the Poinsettia stamp from Flourishes. I used Sahara Sand ink for the words and the white Poinsettia. The words are Justright Times New Roman font. It's been raining her for several days so the pictures are bad. I will try to retake them in the morning if the sun comes out:) This first picture is so you can see the words a little better. Today is the last day of Sharon's party! What a great time was had by all!! Today we are back to our regular SSNOTIME challenge. This week we are to make a card using only a 2" piece of designer parper. You can read the full details here.

This card is another one of my Quick & Easy Christmas cards! You know for the people who don't appreciate a handmade card:) I still want to make a beautiful card since my name is on it, but noway will I spend all day making it when I know it will be in the trash soon after Christmas. YKWIM!

Wow can you believe this party?? It's not over yet! See all the latest info at Sharon's blog! Today Leslie has a great project!! We are altering food packages. I LOVE everything Leslie makes!! I want to be her when I grow up!! My husband LOVES M&M's so much so that we always have a "TON" of them in the house! I'm thrilled with this project, I really had to dig deep:) This is for my MAN! Here's what I decided to use to alter. This was a bit of a challenge, the lid needed hand holding! Here's what I did. Now cut slits. Mine are about 1" apart.
