Hi there! How fun, a new challenge for the KSS crew! I must say I've been doing some soul searching about many things so far in 2009. Top on the list is be true to myself!! The year 2009 is all about being true to me and what I enjoy; simple, clean, elegant stamping. There are SO many talented stampers out there all with their own wonderful styles. So to some this may look basic but it's me. I tremendously appreciate every person who visits my blog. You are a quiet bunch and don't comment much, but you stop by to see what I'm up to and that's so cool! Thank you so much:) Our Kitchen Sink challenge today was issued by Connie our guest this week. Her challenge was to make a Valentine's Day card using KSS flowers, no pink or red! Here's what I came up with.
Thank you Connie for the awesome challenge. Wait to you see what the Guest hostess and KSS Crew has to share. Please check out Maria's blog for all the details on how you can play along here.

I really really like this!! It shows off what these stamps can really do!!
The colors are great and I love how the green frame/mat keeps the eye focused on the main image!!
Beautiful card, Dee! Being true to you--is a REALLY good thing!

I LOVE those roses. Did you have to do any hand shading or is the color all done using the 3-step stamps? Great card.

Dee,
This is a beautiful card. I know it is easy with these lovely sets from KSS, but you took it to the next level and made a truely elegant card.

Beautiful, Dee -- like I always say -- you do those KSS images PROUD!!! Always perfectly executed!!! And BRAVO to you in your quest to stay true to yourself -- I think we all suffer on occasion from seeing all sorts of work and styles, and in trying to emaulate them we sometimes loose sight of what we love, what we ARE in terms of our stamped art!!! Hat's off to you -- this is FABULOUS!!!

Very pretty; love the colors, so soft and elegant!
Ah...that "be true to yourself"; it took me a LONG time to accept my style of stamping and not feel the need to 'fit' with what others were doing, you know? I'm proud of you for sticking to your guns and doing things the way YOU want to do them!! Kudos!

Beautiful and elegant, Dee. The roses are lovely in yellow.

Wow! This is exactly the look I love, too, Dee. What more do you need with gorgeous stamping like this? I'll usually try to fit the look to the person I'm stamping for, but I always feel happiest and most comfortable when I'm just doing my own thing. I think those comfort zone cards always turn out the best, too.

Gorgeous and elegant Dee! Love the perfect yellow rose with the green... along with your signature bow! Someday I hope you will teach me how you do your gorgeous bow! ;)
