Timeless Tuesday!!

It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge(FTTC42)!  This week Silke Ledlow is our challenge host.  Silke is challenging us to a sketch she has designed. You can turn it and modify the shapes to fit your size card, but in the end, it should still look like the sketch. Thanks for a great sketch, Silke!!  We cannot wait to see what you all create. I had to switch a few things on the sketch my long panel and bow are switched. This was a fun sketch to work with.

On my card I used the Flourished Christmas stamp set. Designer paper from Basic Grey. Sheer Ribbon, Big Shot Die, and Brads. I colored this with Colored pencils.

New Release and FTTC #41 Make it Fancy!!

Hi there! It's time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday challenge. This week I'm your hostess and my challenge is to make a fancy gift bag or box for the holidays. Today the Blog team will be featuring a new release set from Flourishes called Fancy Lables.  Perfect for all your homemade gift giving items. For my project today I started with this easy to make A2 box. Here's the link on SCS to the tutorial made by Beate. I stamped and colored the side of the lid using the Fancy Label set.  The top of the lid uses the Dove and Holly set.

Layered on the lid is a piece of  Chocolate and Flourishes Ivory cardstock stamped in Artichoke using one of the smaller stamps in the Fancy Label set. I used that same small stamp on the recipe card you will see later in this post. I distressed all the edges with Distress ink and Choclate Chip ink. The main image was colored using Copic collection from FLLC.

 You may remember I love to give homemade gifts for the holiday this box contains some very yummy Spiced Pecans!

The final picture shows you the box open with the recipe card and lid. I used the slit punch on the recipe card so the directions are in the inside.

Ingredients

• 2 tablespoons butter, melted
• 2 tablespoons light corn syrup
• 2 teaspoons sugar
• 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 4 cups pecan halves

Directions

Preheat oven to 250 degrees F.

Stir together first 5 ingredients. Add pecans, tossing to coat. Spread coated nuts in a single layer on a large jellyroll pan. Bake for 1 hour stirring every 15 minutes. Let cool; store in an airtight container up to 2 weeks.

FLLC Timeless Tuesday

Hi there! It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge(FTTC40)! This week Kimberly Crawford is our challenge host! Kimberly is challenging us to a limited supplies challenge. Our challenge is to combine a colored image, texture or textures, and any shades of neutrals we want.

I used Kraft cardstock. The darker layer with the embossed snowflakes was spread with Versamark before embossing. Here's the stamp set I used. The image was colored using Copics and cut out.

A Fond Farewell To KSS!!

Hi there! It's that time of year when we have to sign new contracts at Kitchen Sink Stamps. After long conversations with Maria we decided I need to take a break. I'm still having some health problems and with the upcoming holidays I'm not sure I can fulfill my contract. To be fair to myself, Crew and KSS it's best that I leave for now. As you know I just love my KSS stamps and Crew. Maria has a new release tomorrow so make sure you visit the KSS store and the crew blogs (listed on my side bar) to see what's new for the holidays:) Big hugs to Maria and the crew much luv to you all!!
