FLLC B-day Blog Hop!!

 

Welcome to Flourishes first-ever Birthday Blog Hop Celebration. Jan Marie, the

owner of Flourishes is turning another year older and we thought we'd

celebrate! Not just with a party and blog hop, but a special stamp set in

honor of her day! Let Them Eat Cake was designed by artist Becky Fleck with a

My year is 1950!!  I wanted to showcase some of the things seen back then.  When I researched the 50's

I saw a lot of  black and white check tile. I also saw cool color combos so here is my card to celebrate

Jan Marie and the 50's!

So, let's start our 'Hopping through the Decades' celebration! When you think

back over the last 60 plus years, what comes to mind? Those bell bottoms from

the 70’s? How about those poodle skirts and ice cream shops of the 50’s?  Blu

Ray discs  of the 2000’s, or Disco from the 80’s? We thought it would be fun

to challenge our Senior Design Team and Friends of Flourishes team to pick a

decade and using our new Let Them Eat Cake set, be inspired in some way by

FLLC Timeless Tuesday #55

Hi there!

It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge(FTTC55)!  It is the last Tuesday of the month so we have a guest challenge host!  This month's guest is Iwona Palamountain (Chupa).  Iwona lives in Australia!  She is challenging us to use flowers!  Whether they are printed flower designer papers, stamped, punch created,  or store bought, put some flowers on your card this week!  We would love to see what you create!

WT268 My Beautiful Orange Flowers?

Hi there! Wow I know I've been feeling great over the past month but hey three post in a week WOOHOO!! Maybe I'm really back for good hahaha!!

Today the WT challenge over on SCS was to use orange I won't go so far as to say I hate orange but it is not on my top 100 color list if you know what I mean. So basically I felt I had to take the challenge and I will admit I'm pleased with the outcome. Let me know what you think!

SC268 and Video!

I had some time to play with today's sketch challenge over on SCS.  I also have a video and bonus card for you today. Go easy on my video it sounds like I'm in a tunnel or something. It's only my third attempt so I hope to get the hang of it soon. I appreciate you taking time to view it flaws and all LOL

Hi there! It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge(FTTC54)!  This week I will be your challenge host!  My challenge to you is  " All About Me".  LOL well not me but  use what you love and what makes you happy!!  Use  your favorite colors, stamps, layout, and embellishments!   Whatever ROCKS your world!  We would love to see what you create!

Here's my card. At the moment my favorite stamp set is the Waterlily. I can't get enough coloring time with this set! I also love this punch from EK Sucess. Sheer ribbon, Copics and silver cording finsh off my favorite things.

FTTC Easel Card!!

Hi There! What a week of FUN! Thank you so much for playing in the Friends of Flourishes Anniversay challenges!! Ya'll really know how to strut your stuff:) I've only made it half through all the cards but I will get to all who played along with me last week! Big shout out to Christine, Carol, Fran, Liz, Linda and Kathy who all made samples for my challenge. YOU ROCKED!!

It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge(FTTC53)!  Please give a warm welcome to Barbara Anders , our NEW FOF blog team member! Welcome to the team!   Barbara is jumping right in with a challenge.  Barbara is challenging us to easel cards.  Never tried an easel card before, no problem.  Here is an SCS video easel card tutorial   which includes ingredients lists, measurements, and individual pictures as well by Beate Johns.   We would love to see what you create! 

Welcome Barbara!! We are thrilled to have you. I haven't tried a easel card yet so this was great. Here's my easel card. If you missed my video on how I make this background using Copics you can see it here.

 

The cherries were stamped using Tuxedo Black ink on Flourishes Classic White cardstock. I stamped the sentiment from Taglines on the Fancy Tags by Spellbinders. I colored the image as well as the background using Copics.

My First Video!! Copic background

Hi There!!  Wow so many of you have emailed me asking how I created the background on my strawberry card. I got brave and tried my hand at making a video for you. I hope you like it:) Here's the finished card.

Here's how I did it. The stamp is from Flourishes. For the background I used the following Copics

B21, B23, B32, E27, E31, E33.  Thanks for watching!!

Timeless Tuesday Anniversary Challenge (FTTC52C)

I hope you have checked out all the fun things going on over at the Flourishes blog!

My challenge for you is to make a Fruity birthday card. You can use fruit stamps or

citrus colors as their inspiration....grapes, lemons, berries...etc.

Here's what I came up with:)

 

I used the Strawberry set for this card the sentiment is from the Tagline set. I colored the image with Copics. For the background I used Copics. I really love how it looks like a painting:)
