FLLC Timeless Tuesday Tissue Carnations

Hi there! What a fun challenge we have this week. I've never made paper flowers before.  After checking out the tutorials listed below I was stumped!! I don't have a flower punch or die. I uesd what I had which was a scallop circle nestie. Carnations are NOT a favorite flower of mine I actually strongly dislike them LOL but carnations are what I thought to attempt to make with my scallop nestie. Guess what? It worked and I really like the results. Here's the challenge.

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge(FTTC68)!  It is the end of the month so we have us a challenge host!  This month's challenge host is Velta Wesson.  Velta is challenging us to "make our own flowers"!  I know you have seen all of these wonderful dimensional homemade flowers being used everywhere.  Now is your chance to make your very own and sport them on your cards, too!   They look quite amazing, but they really are not that hard to do!  You can use any thing from paper to lace to create your flowers.  However, if you would like to see a few tutorials from SCS on paper roses, rolled flowers, or tissue flowers, just check out the links.  Also, Dawn Burnworth, has also done a tutorial on ribbon flowers here.   Whichever form of flower you choose to create, we would love to have you play along with us!  Remember to link your card with the Link system at the Flourishes blog for you chance to win a $10 store gift certificate.  Also, check out the blog for more ways to win!

  I cut out and popped up two of the tulips and the leaves. I wanted the tissue carnations to stand out so I colored the entire image with C1&C3
  Copics. I then added a touch of purple, pink and green Copics. I used white tissue paper for the carnations and spritzed them with Copper Frost. The stamp set I used is called Spring Bouquet . To finish it all off I used a copper paint pen around the edges a bit of ribbon, cuttlebug and punch.

FLLC Timeless Tuesday!!

Hi there! It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge(FTTC67)!  This week Betty Wright is our challenge host!  Betty is challenging us to use "chipboard."   You can use some already decorated chipboard or find some "bare" chipboard and dress it up!  You can make tags, embellishments, or stamp your focal image directly to the stuff!  Whether you are painting it up, cutting it out, or using some already  pre-cut and decorated chipboard, we would love to see what you create using chipboard!

I don't use chipboard often so here is my take on the challenge! The pinks are not so harsh IRL! Thanks Betty for a FUN challenge:)

The main image is colored with Prisma pencils. I used chipboard that already had a print. I stamped the image & sentiment from the Cherry Blossom set just released from Flourishes!! I LOVE this set!! We have a HUGE festival here every year to celebrate Cherry Blossoms!!

FTTC #66 Picture It!!

Hi there! It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge(FTTC66)!  This week Maki Jones is our challenge host!  Maki is challenging us to "picture it!"   Now, a photo card is one way of looking at the challenge; however, you can venture off into other avenues as well.  Think magazine pictures, real image designer papers, or take a picture of some of your favorite things and print it out!  The photo does not have to be the focal point of the card, either.  Think layered flowers, borders, tags, etc!  There are also many photo techniques that can be used from altered photos, vellum pictures,  and  faux cloisonne'.  Whichever photo option you take, we would love to see what you create with the "picture it" challenge!

Wow! what a great challenge Maki!! You really had me thinking on this one:) Here's my take on the challenge. I scanned one of my dresses. After I scanned it I played with size and hues. Here is a picture of the fabric before scanning.

So here is how I used it on my card.

I printed this on SU! Whisper White. I stamped my sentiment on the open area with black ink. Next I cut it with my oval spellbinder die. I really didn't have ribbon to match so I had a hard time finishing the card lol. In the end I learned something new and totally love using my scanner for custom made designer paper:)

Karen's Doodles Sweet Maggie & Me!!

Hi there! The minute I saw this image I thought of my youngest grand daughter. I'm still struggling with hair and skin tones but over all I'm pleased with the outcome. I do think this image lends itself to a slightly darker skin tone, one I failed to get after several attempts. Practice makes perfect right?? Coloring people is new to me so I'm sure in time with the purchase of more Copics in skintones I will find a combo that works.

FLLC Timeless Tuesday!!

Hi there! For my 3-D item I made a journal. The stamps are Spring Bouquet  & Siberian Iris Stamp Set. I colored this with Copics and Prisma Color Pencils.

It Is What It Is!! My First Digi Card:),PDCC #27

Hi there! I have just fallen in love with some digi images. I had to buy a new printer so I could began my new obsession!! Here is my first card using a Mo's Digital Pencil. This image is called Toby Turns Two. I colored this using both Copics and Prisma pencils.

The colors are for the Play Date Cafe challenge this week. Here's the inspiration.
