FTTC #81 Use Lace!!

Hi there!

It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge(FTTC81)!  This week Maki Jones is our challenge host. Maki is challenging us to use lace.  Whether you have real lace, lace punches, lace paper, or any other type of lacy item, add a bit of elegance to your cards this week with some lace.   We would love to see what you create!

We lost a family member this week so I needed to make a card. I have such a hard time making sympathy cards. Since I hadn't made my Timeless Tuesday card I decided to do the challenge for my card. I kept it simple but elegant.

PKS Challenge #35 Color & Sketch

Hi there! TGIF!!! This week has been exhausting for some reason. I'm so excited the weekend is here:)

I did have time to play with some new stamps I picked up at CHA. Peachy Keen Stamps have some adorable images it was wonderful meeting Kathy the owner and Lori one of her designers at CHA. Lori was sweet enough to answer some questions I had about coloring these cute little faces. So here is my very first Peachy Keen challenge card. For this challenge we have colors as well as a sketch.

 
 My card uses the Funny Flowers set from Peachy Keen. I colored the image using Copics.

FTTC Color Challenge!!

Hi there!! I hope you've had a great week:) Mine has been packed full. Our youngest daughter is a senior this year at college. School starts this week. Our oldest will be deployed to a hot spot in September for several months through the holidays! I've had SO much on my mind, I've stayed away from the computer just to take care of my thoughts and family.

It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge(FTTC80)!  Silke Ledlow  is our challenge host.  She is challenging us to a color scheme!  This one is not only easy and fun, but the colors are sure to make a beauty.   Simply make a card using the four colors of hot pink,  soft yellow, kraft, and black  that are listed in the picture. While Flourishes stamps are not required, if you have them by all mean use them! We would love to see what you create!

 

Here's my take on this color combo:) Thanks Silke! I really had to think about this one:) It really wasn't as hard as I thought it would be!!!

I used the Life, Love And Lemons set. The designer paper is from my stash. The ric rac I bought locally but you can find plenty in the Flourishes store. I stamped the images using Tuxedo Black ink. I colored the image with Copics.

FTTC Sketch!!

Hi there! I have NO idea why I couldn't comment on many of the cards posted last week for my challenge. I commented on the SCS cards but most of the blogs I didn't have a account with or forgot my password!!

Anybody know how to sign in on "Open ID" using typepad?? LOL I can't get that to work either! I typed in my user name and signed on to typepad, when I went to comment it was not valid!! :(

It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge(FTTC79)!  This week Cindy Haffner  is hosting. She is challenging us to a sketch she has designed. As far as sketches go, there is not much of an explanation necessary. You can turn it and modify the shapes to fit your size card, but in the end, it should still look like the sketch. Good Luck!!! We cannot wait to see what you create with it!

FLLC Timeless Tuesday NO Embellishments!!

Hi there! I'm back from CHA and what a blast I had. It was awesome meeting SO many online friends for the first time as well as seeing friends I've met in the past!! The new products coming to a store near you will blow your mind...start saving your money!! SERIOUSLY.

It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday  Challenge (FTTC78)!  This week I'm your host.  My challenge for you is a limited supplies challenge.  The limit?  NO Embellishments.  What does this mean?  It means that we let the image we use speak for itself.  We CAN use ink, stamps, paper, punches, die cuts, and coloring tools.  We cannot add rhinestones, prima flowers, buttons, pearls, ribbons, brads, etc.   We would love to see what you create with this limited supplies challenge.

Here is my card. I make a ton of cards without embellishments, I work SO hard on coloring and design. I really want your eye to see the beauty in the card. In the past my bows stole the show LOL...it would break my heart to hear WOW what a gorgeous bow after I spent a hour coloring!! So this was a super easy challenge for me. I used the following Flourishes stamps. Humming Along and EnjoyThe Ride sets. I colored the image with Copic Markers YR02,YR07,YR09,G40,G82,G85,100 and 0 (colorless blender) The image and sentiment are stamped in Tuxedo Black Ink on Flourishes Classic White cardstock. I stamped the trumpet flower and colored the background square. I also colored and cut out a few of the flowers and the hummingbird. The flowers are glued on except the lower one on the nestie it is on a pop dot. The hummingbird and nestie are also popped up!! I used my black Copic Multiliner to doodle around the base of the card.
