FTTC 102 Use Hardware!!

Hi there! It's time for (FTTC#102) This week Cindy is our host and has challenged us to use hardware on our cards. Eyelets, and brads came to mind. I used brads:) I can't wait to see what hardware you use this week!

I found this great textured paper at Hobby Lobby a few months ago. All the stamps are Flourishes. I used Gerber Daisies and the sentiment from Life Lines.

FTTC Goes Big!!

Hi there! What a great hop we had! Thank you to all that played along. It's time for (FTTC101)This week I'm your challenge host and my challenge is to go BIG. I love 5" x 7" cards so that is your challenge. Make cards that are 5" x 7." We can't wait to see your *BIG* cards!

There are some changes on the Friends Of Flourishes team! Our fearless leader Betty Wright has stepped down as our coordinator. We will miss her leadership! Lucky for US she is staying on the team as a designer!! Please welcome Tammy Hershberger as our new coordinator!! Welcome Tammy!  I look forward to working with you again:)

Here's my card using my favorite Flourishes set Apple Of My Eye.

 
Cut a mat from red cardstock and adhere to the base. Cut a smaller white mat and emboss. Adhere to the red mat. Cut, emboss and stamp the Lacey Circle die with the sentiment from Life Lines. Stamp the Apple Of My Eye image with Tuxedo Black ink. Color with Copics. Cut out and pop it up as shown. Don't forget the bow.

So can you guess what favorites I used?? I must say my favorite Flourishes set is Apple Of My Eye. I used it for my challenge card next week so I went with my second favorite set today Cherry Blossoms. I used my favorite cardstock Flourishes Classic Ivory. I also love the Classic White. I colored this with Copics. Lately I've been really loving the clean and simple look on cards with a lot of open white space. I adore my embossing folders so I used that too:)

I can't wait to see what your favorite things are. So let's get hoppin'

I wanted to share with you a couple pictures of the ice that has shut our town down the past few days. I can't remember ever being this cold in GA:) It's nice having DH home a few extra days.

HCPC 3354 Classic Message PreCut Set
HCD 702 Decorative Butterfly-Border Die

Other: Ink- StazOn, Timber Brown Silver Cording, Prismacolor Pencils, SF03602, Baby oil, Stumps 

Form card base using white card stock. Cut purple paper slightly smaller and adhere to base. Stamp sentiment and image as shown. Color image using Prismacolor pencils and baby oil. Cut and emboss border. Wrap silver cord as shown.

HCD 702 Decorative Butterfly-Border Die

Other:Ink- StazOn, Timber Brown Card Stock- Ivory Webster's Pages, Dew Drops, Ribbon, Glue Dots, Vellum tape.

Form card base using Ivory card stock, stamp sentiment with Timber Brown ink. Cut your Webster's Page and adhere to Ivory card stock using vellum tape. Stamp, Cut and emboss the butterfly. Glue Dew Drops down the center as shown. Tie a bow or knot at the top of the card and adhere the butterfly.

FTTC #99 Use Flowers!!

Hi there! I hope you all had a great holiday and so far a Happy New Year!! We went to see the grandkids. I can't express how full my heart is. I really hated having to get back to work, school and miles and miles away from the kids.

It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge(FTTC99)! Barbara Anders is our challenge host. Barbara is challenging us to use flowers! In the mist of all the cold temps and snowy conditions in many parts of the world, we are going to brighten and warm things up a bit with some flowers! Just add any kind any style of flowers to your card or projects this week! We would love to see what you create!

 

I wanted to keep this very simple so I just embossed the base and colored the image with chalk. The main image is Humming Along. The sentiment is from the Tag Lines set. Sheer ribbon and silver cord finish this off.
